Michel Colombier

Michel Jean Marius Colombier was born on the 3rd of January 1948 in the port city of Marseilles in a family atmosphere of music and art.
His grand father (1903-1986) was an excellent pianist and his great grandfather (1878-1949) was not only a talented pianist but also an artist whose paintings reflect the beauty of this stunning region in the South of France.

After completing his degree in Computer Sciences, Michel moved to Paris to work for IBM where he had a very successful 34 year career in various European and Worldwide executive positions.

Michel started drawing as a teenager but seriously started to paint about 40 years ago. Initially he worked mostly with oils, as his great grandfather did, creating figurative pieces and about 30 years ago moved on to abstract works in acrylics. Working with acrylics opened up a completely new dimension in his work.

Michel spends all his time on his passion to study colours and create various figurative and non figurative works with one goal in mind : harmony of colours and forms.

Michel has two children and is married to Sharmista.
